CHOOSING AND BOOKING YOUR HOLIDAY

We’re finding it hard to choose a property that is right for us. Can you help?

Of course! Just give us a call, or drop us an email. Unlike most internet companies, we manage our properties directly. Because of this, we have the in-depth knowledge to recommend a villa or apartment that is right for you. We know our properties inside out!
We take many factors into account when finding the perfect villa for you. Obviously you need a property that is the right size, but you may also have children, or perhaps you need an accessible property. Some of our properties are great if you plan to arrive on public transport, others require a car. You may wish to be near the beach, or within reach of cultural attractions, or perhaps a short walk from great shops, restaurants and bars.
Just give us as much information as you can and we will do the hard work for you!

How do I know if a property is available on the dates I wish to stay?

Our website is ‘live’ and constantly updated with the latest availability.
The most popular villas tend to get booked up months, or even a year in advance, but we often have good availability for properties that have only recently been added to our portfolio.

The quickest way is to check the availability of a specific property is:

  • On each property page, you'll see a box on the left hand side, below the photos, where you can select the dates you would like to travel.
  • Click on the arrows at the top of the calendar to see a later month. Any dates coloured red are already booked. White dates are free.
  • Simply select your preferred dates to see the price of your stay.

I want to start my holiday on Friday. Why is the property only available from Saturday?

Most of our properties have fixed arrival and departure days during the peak booking season, often Saturday, and unfortunately these cannot be varied.
During the off-peak season we may be able to be more flexible with some properties.
Please do get in touch if you are travelling outside of the school holidays and the summer period, and would like to request an alternative start date.

Can I bring my dog with me and are additional charges payable?

Not all properties welcome pets, but many do. Of these, some allow dogs at no extra charge, whilst others require an additional fee, typically €20-35 per week. Please contact us, before you book, if you would like to bring your pet..

We loved staying with you! Can we book our villa again for next year?

Yes, of course! If you would like to reserve your villa for next year, we strongly recommend that you rebook as soon as possible to avoid being disappointed. Many of our customers stay with us every year, and the most popular villas get booked a long time in advance. You can book online, or just get in touch by phone or email, and we’ll reserve your chosen dates for you.

MAKING A PAYMENT

Can I make a deposit, or do I need to pay in full?

If your holiday starts within 60 days, we ask that you pay the full amount when you reserve your property.
If there is more than 60 days before the start of your holiday, you only need to pay a 30% deposit. The remaining 70% becomes due 60 days before your holiday begins. We’ll send you an email to remind you when you need to pay.
We’re afraid that your deposit cannot be refunded if you need to cancel your holiday, so we strongly advise you to take out travel insurance at the time of booking.

Do you offer discounts on your published prices?

Any discounts that are available are shown on our website. Discounts are given during quieter periods, or if a property becomes available at the last minute due to a cancellation. Unfortunately we cannot offer discounts on request.
Our discounts only apply to 7 night stays and do not apply to short breaks, unless specified on our website. Unfortunately, discounts cannot be applied to short breaks on request.

Can I book a transfer to my property from the airport or railway station?

Yes, our private limo service offers quick, reliable transfers, at very competitive prices.
We offer a choice of superior vehicles, each catering for 4-8 guests, with English-speaking drivers. Book now and rest assured that you will be taken on a relaxing drive from any airport or train station in Italy, straight to your accommodation.

Can you tell me about your in-villa experiences?

Our in-villa experiences are always a huge success. They allow you to enjoy spending time in your beautiful property, whilst making your time in Italy truly memorable.
We can arrange for a professional Italian chef to visit you during your stay, to give you and your party a lesson in the art of Italian cookery. These lessons are not serious or formal, but a great way to have fun with family and friends. When you’ve finished cooking, you have a delicious meal, prepared with fresh local ingredients, to sit down and enjoy. Later, you can take the tips and techniques you have learned and re-create your recipes at home – the ultimate souvenir of your holiday in Italy!
Alternatively, if you are a wine connoisseur, or would love to learn more about the subtleties of wine tasting, a top sommelier can visit you in the comfort of your holiday home, to guide you in the discovery of the best local wines.

GETTING READY TO GO

What do I need to pack?

Every Feeling Italy property is fully equipped with linens and towels for the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen. These are changed at the end of your stay, unless stated otherwise in your property description.
Consumable items such as toilet rolls and washing up liquid are supplied. However, any further supplies that are needed during your stay are your responsibility and must be purchased as required. Feeling Italy offers self-catering accommodation, and does not provide consumable items on request.

Do you have highchairs and cots for babies and toddlers?

Some villas and apartments are equipped with a highchair and cot. You will find this listed in the property description on our website. Don’t worry if not, as we can arrange for either, or both, to be delivered to your property at a cost of €25 per item. You can email us on welcome@feelingitaly.com, or simply book the items you require via your Guidal website. We'll send you a link to your Guidal once you have confirmed your booking.

The size of our group has changed. Can I bring additional people to our villa or apartment?

After booking, we need you to confirm the names of the people staying in your property, including adults, children and infants under the age of two. Italian law requires that all names are recorded correctly in advance and checked against passports on arrival.
Additional guests are welcome to join your group, as long as you don’t exceed the maximum occupancy for your property, and we are notified at least three days before the start of your holiday.
If additional guests cannot be accommodated within your property, we are happy, where possible, to help you find a larger alternative, or to find additional accommodation for your guests.

YOUR ARRIVAL IN ITALY

What do we need to do when we arrive in Italy?

Once you have paid for your holiday in full, we will send you an email with full arrival instructions for your property. This email includes details of how to collect your keys. Generally you will be met by your Property Manager, who will show you around your property in person. The email also gives directions to your property and emergency contact numbers.
The information will also be available in our Guidal website. You'll receive a link to your personalised Guidal when you have paid your deposit.
The best way to arrive is to book one of our transfers. We will pick you up from your airport or train station and take you straight to your villa. Easy! Just get in touch for more details, on welcome@feelingitaly.com, or book your transfer using the simple form on your Guidal website. 
When you arrive, we will need to see passports for all of your party. If you meet us at our offices, we will take photocopies for our records. If we meet you directly at your villa or apartment, we will take photographs, or note down passport details by hand.
We will also take your security deposit on arrival if required. Further information on the security deposit is below.

What is the earliest check-in time?

A week before the start of your holiday, we will contact you via email to check the approximate time that you expect to arrive at your property, so that your Property Manager can plan to be ready and waiting for you.
On your day of travel, we ask that you call your Property Manager to re-confirm your anticipated time of arrival.
Generally, check in is from 4pm, to allow time for our housekeepers to present your property to our highest standards.
However, where possible, we aim to accommodate earlier arrivals. If you would like to check in before 4pm, please get in touch. If your villa is not ready, it is possible to leave your luggage inside your villa, and either explore the local area, or simply relax in your garden, until housekeeping is complete.
We aim to accommodate late arrivals wherever possible, but please note that where check in is after 10pm, we apply an extra charge of €30, to be paid on arrival in cash.

How can you make my arrival extra special?

Why dash to the supermarket as soon you arrive at your villa? Relax from the moment you arrive when you book one of our catering options.
We have a couple of options to make your life easier.
  1. A Welcome Dinner
    Put your feet up whilst our chef prepares a delicious meal to your specification, using fresh local ingredients.

  2. The Breakfast Box
    Wake up to a delicious selection of bagels, pastries, muffins and croissants, all freshly prepared that morning at the Tenero & Croccante bakery.

Just get in touch at welcome@feelingitaly.com and we’ll give you a price for your chosen options.  Alternatively, it's quick and easy to book on your Guidal website. You'll get access to your Guidal once you have confirmed your booking.

What is a security deposit and why is it required?

Most of our properties have a refundable security deposit. This is held by the owner of the property, and takes into account the size of the property and the value of the items within.
The amount required is listed on each accommodation description. The security deposit can be made in Euros at the time of arrival to your Property Manager, or by credit card. If the deposit is made by credit card, we will ask you to sign an authorisation, stating that your deposit may be collected in the instance of damage to the property, until 48 hours after your departure from the property.
As long as you leave your property in a clean and tidy condition, without damage or breakages, the Property Manager will return any security deposit paid.

Are there charges for telephone calls, heating or other facilities?

There are no additional charges for electricity, water or Internet Wifi.
Central heating, where available, is always chargeable at €5,00 per m3.
A charge may be payable for Air Conditioning, please ask.
Where additional costs are payable, these will be assessed by the Property Manager at the time of departure. Costs may be paid directly in Euros, or if a security deposit has been made, they will be deducted from your deposit.

What are the arrangements for the collection of recycling and rubbish?

Italian recycling and refuse policies are very strict. We therefore have to respectfully ask you to help us in ensuring that your rubbish is sorted and put out for collection, according to the instructions within your property.
Rubbish will not be collected unless is it sorted according to guidelines, put into the correct bag and put out for collection on the right day.
Unfortunately, where rubbish has not been sorted correctly, we need to make an additional €150 charge, to cover the cost of the rubbish being hand-sorted and collected.

GETTING IN TOUCH

There is a problem with my property. What should I do?

If you have any issues with your property, we need to know straight away! We do have a strict maintenance and cleaning policy in place, but occasionally problems can occur.
If you need help, please get in touch with your Property Manager in the first instance, and they will be happy to assist you.
If you cannot reach your Property Manager for any reason, you can always contact the Feeling Italy office.

How do I get in touch with Feeling Italy in an emergency?

In an emergency, please call your Property Manager first, as they are best placed to help you quickly.
If you are unable to get hold of your Property Manager, and it is during office hours (Monday to Saturday, 9.00am-6.30pm), please call the Feeling Italy office.
If it is outside of office hours, and you have already tried calling your Property Manager without success, our backup emergency number is +39 366 356 45 60.

YOUR DEPARTURE

What are the arrangements for check-out?

Your Property Manager will discuss the time that you wish to check-out, and arrange for the return of your security deposit, if it has been paid in cash. If your security deposit was paid by credit card it will be refunded automatically 48 hours after your departure.
We respectfully ask that you leave your property in an orderly condition, with dishes washed and rubbish removed.
If you plan to check out before 8am, please contact your Property Manager to agree a meeting time on the eve of your departure.
The latest check out time is generally 10am, to give our housekeepers time to prepare your property for the next guests.

CHANGES TO YOUR BOOKING

We need to change the dates of our holiday. How can we do this?

You are more than welcome to change the dates of your holiday, if your property or an alternative Feeling Italy property is available. Any difference in the property price will be payable. Just send us an email, or give us a call.
If we cannot find an acceptable alternative for you, our Cancellation Policy will apply.
We strongly advise our customers to take out adequate insurance to ensure they are protected from unforeseen events.

Can I cancel my holiday?

You may cancel your booking at any time, in writing, via email or letter. We will give you a refund, less cancellation charges. These are calculated according to your total rental price and the length of time before the start of your holiday. Unfortunately we are not able to refund the deposit used to secure your holiday dates.

We strongly recommend that you take out adequate travel insurance to protect yourself should your holiday plans change.
