Holiday Villa, Sorrento, Italy
Villa Chez Pič is a 200 m2 property that can host up to 12 people, with a garden, olive grove and several terraces offering fabulous views, such as the sea, the Galli Islands, the Amalfi Coast and the Bay of Nerano.
You will find private parking beside the house, as well as other spaces to leave cars in an enclosed area just 100 metres or so from the property. The house is located 150 metres from the little hamlet of Torca, 1 km outside Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi, where you will find a restaurant and a number of characteristic little food shops.
Villa Chez Pič has three double bedrooms, a room with two single beds, another smaller room with bunk beds and a double sofa bed in a wide living room at the lower floor. There are also three bathrooms with a shower, a sitting room with sofas, armchairs and a table for meals, 2 kitchens and plenty of space outside.
You can reach Villa Chez Pič either straight from the road or through a small paved courtyard, which leads to the large 100 m2 terrace that lies in front of the sitting room and the bedrooms. This terrace is without doubt the most enchanting part of the holiday house, offering marvellous views out over a wonderful landscape stretching beyond the horizon. All you will see before you is the bright blue sea and the cloudless sky, as you look out towards the Amalfi Coast and the Cilento coast. On a clear day you can even see the Cilento Peninsula. The south-facing terrace enjoys sunshine throughout the day, and is equipped with a table, chairs, deck chair and garden swing, as well as a retractable awning so you can enjoy a little shade any time you wish. You're sure to love spending time here outdoors, all day and on into the evening........
From the garden, a stone staircase also leads down to an area with a brick barbecue and a wood-burning oven for whipping up a pizza. This comfortable, superbly equipped area is ideal for organising dinners and for cooking out in the open. One of the owner's suggestions is that you really mustn't pass up on the chance to organise a pizza dinner or a barbecue outside, perhaps picking some fresh seasonal fruit and vegetables (when available) from the garden in front of the house. Moreover, you will be able to enjoy the quite of Villa Chez Pič at the swimming pool area with sun beds.
The sitting room is bright and spacious, with large windows, so even indoors you can enjoy splendid sea views. It is tastefully and cosily furnished with sofas and armchairs, a lovely fireplace and an area for meals with a table and chairs. You will also find satellite TV, a DVD player, stereo and internet connection. The sitting room leads onto the traditional, attractive masonry kitchen, which is fully equipped with five cooking rings, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and a range of small household appliances. The kitchen leads straight out through a French door onto the terrace, where you can admire the little garden in front of the house through a large window.
From the sitting room, a little corridor will take you through to the sleeping area, where you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower. In one of the rooms is a double bed, TV and a large window that looks out onto the terrace. In the other, considerably smaller room, you'll find bunk beds and a French door that leads onto the terrace.
A staircase with around 15 steps will take you up to the first floor, where you'll find two bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower a toilet and a small window with an enchanting view. One of the bedrooms is equipped with two single beds, a wardrobe and a large window with a view out onto the greenery and, partially, the sea. In this room you'll also find a built-in wardrobe, a small chest of drawers and a desk. The other room has a double bed and spectacular sea views through the three large windows. On the same floor as the bedrooms is a second large terrace with a sea view, also equipped with a deck chair, and is perfect for sunbathing. An outside staircase leads up to the roof terrace of the villa, from where you can admire a fabulous 360-degree view of the sea and the coast.
A stone staircase also leads down to the lower floor, the garden level (swimming and BBQ area), where you can find a wide and well equiped Kitchen, a living area with a double sofa bed, a double bedroom, a wide bathroom with shower and a smal room with washing machine.
You'll find yourself in the middle of the two gulfs, of Naples and Salerno, 10 km from Sorrento and 15 km from Positano. Villa Chez Pič lies in a quiet, sunny position, on a stretch of coastline that is part of the Marine Protected Area of Punta Campanella, renowned for its beautiful landscape and the traces of its ancient history. The villa is located next to a sunny little side road, closed to traffic, and looks out onto the sea, just 400 metres or so away as the crow flies. The only way to reach the sea from the villa is on foot, along a path that runs down along the steep, rocky coast. This trekking path, marked on the map, starts out just a few metres from the villa. Some 600 or so steps will take you down to the little beach of Fiordo di Crapolla, where you will find a crystal-clear sea, a small landing stage for rowing boats, and a few little fishermen's houses clustered around a small church. Here you can also see the remains of a villa dating back to Ancient Roman times. On 29th June, the little church of San Pietro and San Paolo is the scene of one of the area's most fascinating traditional festivals, during which hundreds of people arrive here over land and sea to celebrate with banquets that last from dawn to dusk....
If you're planning a stay here during this period, make sure you don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!
The stop for SITA bus services to Sorrento is 150 metres from Villa Chez Pič. The SITA bus network links all the towns along the coast, offering convenient access to the archaeological sites of Pompei, Ercolano, Paestum and the Royal Palace of Caserta.
Gorgeous view! Date of Stay: 07/12/2011 The gorgeous view was only outdone by the wonderful assistance of Piero and his staff. When he heard we wanted to see Christmas decorations in Italy, he set up a tree in the Villa - lights and all. Now that's quality service!! The markets are a bit of a hike up hills so be prepared for that if you aren't renting a car. Driving is precarious so we opted to walk. If you would like to cook meals, bring spices as they were hard to find in the markets. The walk down to Crapolla was fabulous - exhausting but well worth the effort. The Villa definitely was our little dream home away from home!! Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway. |

Beautiful, authentic villa with fabulous views in a small, quiet village Date of stay: Unknown The viillage of Torca is small, and on the west end of the Amalfi Coast, so this quiet community was perfect for us - felt very secure and comfortable. We were two families of four each, eight total. The villa was very large and could easily handle 12 people. Views were outstanding. We had an 8 passenger van, but could walk to small grocery stores, a bakery, restaurants, etc (.3 to 1.5 km). The steep hike down to crapolla cove was a bit challenging, but absolutely stunning and we had the cove all to ourselves and the boys loved it. Finally, Chez Pierro was an outstanding host, we called him several times for advice and help with things to do in the local area - a genuine, sincere and friendly man. |

Anglo/Norwegian visitors Date of Stay: 04/17/2011 We rented the house for Easter for a family gathering for which the house was perfect. We were very happy to find a house which didn't require going up or down hundreds of steps (not easy in the Sorrento area!) as that would have made it impossible for some of our party to come on this holiday. You can park right outside the house and there are just a couple of steps down to the front door. Also, we really appreciated the owners letting us bring our dog - the garden was completely fenced in which made keeping a dog there easy. The 5 bedrooms were in 3 separate areas , each area had its own bathroom - ideal. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated duvets instead of sheets and blankets as it was chilly at night. (It might be an idea to have duvet covers instead of sheets). Let me mention, though, that the central heating worked very well, making it a house for all seasons. The terrace was fantastic with the most beautiful view, of which we never tired, and we spent most of our time there. The 'round' sitting room was a lovely room and we loved the colours. We ended up mainly using the downstairs kitchen as there was a dining table there with room for 9 people. This is probably the case for other people who are there when it is too cold to eat outside in the evenings, so some more crockery and cutlery down there would be useful. We lunched outside on the terrace in the day which was perfect. We travelled with teenagers who thought the TV was a bit small and missed a DVD player, also we never found the snooker table which was mentioned in the description which they thought was a bit disappointing. However, we could not have asked for a nicer place, the local village was great and we found some good restaurants. The owner was very helpful, but not intrusive, which is how it should be. Everyone in our party agreed that they would all love to go back to this wonderful house some day! Our stay at Villa Chez Pie Date of Stay: 05/16/11 My family and I had a fantastic stay at this villa. Piero couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and assist us in seeing the local area and guiding us in local information. We booked the excursion to Pompei with trip to a local vineyard and had lunch and a wine tasting, fantastic! It was arranged so we were picked up and dropped off at the villa so no need to worry about anything. We had lots of room at the villa, three couples and one two year old and didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Everything we needed was provided at the villa and all was clean and well maintained. We loved Marina Del Cantone which was only a 20 minute drive away, gorgeous bay with lovely fish restaurants. We would also recommend the boat trip to Capri, which went from Marina Del Cantone, again Piero arranged for pick up locally. Just be aware that the roads leading to the villa are very narrow so don't, like us, hire a big car! Recommended for:Sightseeing, girls getaway, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children. |

A memorable family vacation Date of Stay: 06/24/11 We (7 American adults, 2 kids) celebrated a big birthday in this spectacular home with all the comforts one could ask for. The owner and his assistant were wonderful, helpful and full of information (including good restaurants!). Once we learned to drive the rather challenging roadways, everything seemed close by. We highly recommend boatrides to Capri and along the Amalfi coast, visits to Sorrento and Pompeii (by train). Yes we would recommend this property highly to friends and family! The description on the VRBO website is good with lovely photos. Recommended for:Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children. |

Delightful villa on Amalfi Coast Date of Stay: 06/11/11 I stayed here with five friends in June 2011. We had a great time. The view from the house is spectacular. You can also use Chez Pie as a good point from which to visit Capri or drive the Amalfi highway to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Highly recommended. Recommended for:Families with young children. |

Villa in Sorrento Peninsula Date of Stay: 05/01/11 This villa was very nice, clean and comfortable. The owner met us at St. Agata and guided us to the villa. The only difficulty we had was that since we had a large 8 passenger vehicle. parking on the small pad was quite challenging. The view was dynamite and the accommodation very satisfactory - comfortable beds and sofas. I would stay there again. Recommended for:Sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers. |

Best Vacation Rental Experience - EVER Date of Stay: 07/12/11 The Villa Chez Pie is not only a beautiful home with gorgeous views of the Sorrentine coast, it also has the most attentive host - Piero. He stocked the villa with everything we needed, he arranged dinners for us at local restaurants and he scheduled excursions for us to Sorrento and Capri. He took the extra time and effort to ensure that EVERYTHING about our vacation was perfect. We will definitely visit again! Recommended for:Sightseeing, girls getaway, age 55+, romantic getaway |
