Villa Sophia is a spectacular retreat with a lot of character. Located in the quiet town of Sant’Agata and just minutes from Sorrento, Villa Sophia transports you from the hustle and bustle of the touristic schedule to the perfect venue for relaxing, resting, reading, and enjoying your closest loved ones.This beautiful villa comfortably sleeps up to 8 people and offers an elegant, yet rustic countryside retreat with central heating, beautiful paintings, high quality wooden furniture, and a wine cellar.
At Villa Sophia, you will find three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, a living room, an open dining room with fireplace that leads to the garden, a wine cellar, flat screen televisions, a self-catering kitchen with fireplace and dishwasher, a washing machine, and alarge private and terraced garden with, among other things, a pizza oven, barbecue, and a dining table for eight.
The Villa
The Master Bedroom and Bathroom
The master bedroom, with beautiful tile floors, is on the top floor, sixteen steps from the main floor.This charming bedroom offers you a soothing double bed,two wardrobes, a flat screen television with digital channels, and best of all, anamazing countryside view from the window.
The master bathroom at Villa Sophia will perfectly fit yourneeds.The jacuzzishower with sunflower showerhead will be your sanctuary after a day of swimming in the sea or shopping in Sorrento. In this haven of a bathroom, you will find tile floors, marble countertops, two sinks, and all the necessary amenities.
Guest Bedrooms, Bathroom, and Wine Cellar
From the main floor, nine steps lead you down to the guest bathroom, where you will find awalk-in shower, toilet, bidet, and marble sink.Ten more steps take you to the ground floor, where you will find two guest bedrooms.Along the way, there is a wine cellar to store any wine bottles you purchase or bring with you to Villa Sophia.On the ground floor, you will find a open floor plan, allowing lots of natural light to permeate the rooms.In one of the guest bedrooms, you will find two single beds.In the other guest bedroom, you will find a double bed that sleeps two.There are also cupboards for storage.In the hallway, there is a wardrobe to hang your shirts, pants, and jackets.
Indoor Dining Room
The indoor dining room has double doors that lead you to and from the terraces.In the indoor dining room, you will find a large, wooden dining table for eight. Along the walls, full bookshelves and fine Italian art surround you and your guests at the table.Above you, large wooden beams extend from one side of the room to the other, giving Villa Sophia that rustic charm.There is a half bathroom just off the indoor dining room.
Kitchen
The kitchen isfurnished with a beautiful wooden table for eight and is fully equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, five-ring stove with three gas burners and two electric burners. There is an oven, dishwasher, double sink, coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, and plates and silverware.There is also a wood-burning fireplace in the kitchen, which is connected to the living room.
Living Room
IIn this comfortable living room, you can relax and watch one of the many digital channels on the on the large flat screen television. Here you'll also find 2 single beds.
From the living room, you can access boththe kitchen and dining room, as well as the magnificent wooden staircase that leads up to the master bedroom.
Garden/Terraces/Outdoor Dining Area
On the top terrace, you will find a garden, grass lawn, and sunbed area, and plenty of parking. Twenty-six stone steps lead you to the bottom terrace and outdoor dining area.
Here you will find dining for eight, as well as an outdoor, open kitchen area with marble countertops, barbecue, and sink.The highlight of this area is the wood-fired pizza oven built from stones unique to the Amalfi Coast.
Walls of hand-laid stone give you and your party the privacy and serenity you desire.Authentic Italian ceramic dishes are provided for you to serve your loved ones their meals.There is nothing like enjoying a fine meal and fine wine under the stars of the Amalfi Coast.
