Beautiful, authentic villa with fabulous views in a small, quiet village
Date of stay: Unknown
The viillage of Torca is small, and on the west end of the Amalfi Coast, so this quiet community was perfect for us - felt very secure and comfortable. We were two families of four each, eight total. The villa was very large and could easily handle 12 people. Views were outstanding. We had an 8 passenger van, but could walk to small grocery stores, a bakery, restaurants, etc (.3 to 1.5 km). The steep hike down to crapolla cove was a bit challenging, but absolutely stunning and we had the cove all to ourselves and the boys loved it. Finally, Chez Pierro was an outstanding host, we called him several times for advice and help with things to do in the local area - a genuine, sincere and friendly man.

Magical and authentic italian
Date of Stay: April 2011
Our family stayed at Ludovica and her brother Raimondo's farm house for a week in April 2011. The house is beautiful, it used to be an olive farm and a winery, Raimondo is an architect and he has restored the place preserving all its charm. When you sit down in the patio you can see the Tirreno sea, the church and the village, while you listen to the birds, the bumble bees, the musical chimes of the church bells and the italian voices of the family that lives on top of the house, smell the flowers and the lemon trees, and feel the fresh breeze. Masssalubrense is a quiet and authentic village, no foreigners, it has the main Piazza, the church, small stores, and a small quaint port. People in Massalubrense are friendly and say hello to us in the street when we were walking around. You can easily travel by car to visit Sorrento, Pompei, Vesuvio vulcano, Positano and the beach, all within 30 minutes to an hour drive. There are many restaurants in the area, food was really amazing! The house is on a hill, surrounded by other villas and in the middle of Massalubrense. Furnishing in the house is basic. My husband and I travelled with our three boys ages 15, 13 and 10 and my husband's father, and we all enjoyed it very much. The kids loved exploring the lemon orchard and taking pictures of the lizards that climbed over the trees. If you are looking for a place with character and tranquility you will enjoy this house, it is like diving in the middle of an old southern Italian village.

Eva (Madrid, Spain) I was largely satisfied by the quality of this beautiful villa. It met and exceeded all of my expectations. Everything was as described. The view is exquisite. Additionally, The owners and their son were both friendly and helpful in planning our trip. We would definitely recommend this villa to any of our friends planning a trip to Italy. It was an extraordinary experience and one that will not soon be forgotten by myself or the seven other members of my party who stayed there

Our stay at Villa Chez Pie
Date of Stay: 05/16/11
My family and I had a fantastic stay at this villa. Piero couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome and assist us in seeing the local area and guiding us in local information. We booked the excursion to Pompei with trip to a local vineyard and had lunch and a wine tasting, fantastic! It was arranged so we were picked up and dropped off at the villa so no need to worry about anything. We had lots of room at the villa, three couples and one two year old and didn't feel like we were on top of each other. Everything we needed was provided at the villa and all was clean and well maintained. We loved Marina Del Cantone which was only a 20 minute drive away, gorgeous bay with lovely fish restaurants. We would also recommend the boat trip to Capri, which went from Marina Del Cantone, again Piero arranged for pick up locally. Just be aware that the roads leading to the villa are very narrow so don't, like us, hire a big car!

Krispin (Devon, UK) We spent a wonderful week at Poggio Turchino. I guaranty that Happiness is there! The house is really comfortable, very well located near the main sites in Umbria (Perugia, Asisis, etc...). The house are very well maintained. But the best is how well the owner of the villa and his wife takes care of us! They are really great people with their only focus is to satisfy their guest. A big thanks to them!"

We stayed for one week in casa il verde with two adults and three children. We had a very warm welcome by Pierro, who showed us around and was always there to help us, even when there was no hot water and the garage door would not open. The view is magnificient and the garden fantastic, with pool and lemon trees. There are a lot of things to do in the area, f.e. punta camponella, Sorrento, Pompei, Vesuvius etc etc. We hope to come back soon!!!

We rented the house for Easter for a family gathering for which the house was perfect. We were very happy to find a house which didn't require going up or down hundreds of steps (not easy in the Sorrento area!) as that would have made it impossible for some of our party to come on this holiday. You can park right outside the house and there are just a couple of steps down to the front door. Also, we really appreciated the owners letting us bring our dog - the garden was completely fenced in which made keeping a dog there easy. The 5 bedrooms were in 3 separate areas , each area had its own bathroom - ideal. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated duvets instead of sheets and blankets as it was chilly at night. (It might be an idea to have duvet covers instead of sheets). Let me mention, though, that the central heating worked very well, making it a house for all seasons. The terrace was fantastic with the most beautiful view, of which we never tired, and we spent most of our time there. The 'round' sitting room was a lovely room and we loved the colours. We ended up mainly using the downstairs kitchen as there was a dining table there with room for 9 people. This is probably the case for other people who are there when it is too cold to eat outside in the evenings, so some more crockery and cutlery down there would be useful. We lunched outside on the terrace in the day which was perfect. We travelled with teenagers who thought the TV was a bit small and missed a DVD player, also we never found the snooker table which was mentioned in the description which they thought was a bit disappointing. However, we could not have asked for a nicer place, the local village was great and we found some good restaurants. The owner was very helpful, but not intrusive, which is how it should be. Everyone in our party agreed that they would all love to go back to this wonderful house some day!

A relaxing week on the Sorrento peninsula
Date of Stay: 08/01/2011
We stayed one week in apartment number 4 with our 3 little kids. We loved it. It was quiet though you could walk to the center of Sant agatha. The appartment was very light, modern and clean. It had 2 bathrooms. Everybody on the property was very helpfull. We can definitly recommend going there.

Good value for this area. We visited in the last week in March 2009. The weather was cold. The accomodation very satisfactory and spacious. Essentially the sleeping quarters are in the basement and the living quarters and entrance are upstairs. The photos dont quite do justice to the site. It is in a very secluded and quiet olive grove, the view is stunning both during the day and at night. The birdsong in the evening and in the mornig was magical. Also the photos of the house dont help by giving the impression that it is built of unfinished blockwork. Generous parking area with electric gates. I had hired a Mercedes Vito people carrier. I would strongly advise a smaller car. Otherwise, it is as good a base as any, in this very hilly area to visit Pompeii, the Amalfi coast, Sorrento, Capri, Paestum and Naples. Take the ferry or Cicumvesuviana train from Sorrento. We had avery pleasant stay in Villa Marika and I would happily recommend it. Finally I can strongly recommend in Sant Agata Ristorante Lo Stuzzichino and its Maitre D - Mimmo for a very friendly good meal and excellent wines! And if you can afford it, Don Alfonsos is superb.

An excellent villa with all the amenities one needs for a relaxing family. The apartment is spotlessly clean (as is the entire villa), the staff are amazingly helpful and the views superb. Its as close to perfection as I've seen.
If I were to make one suggestion, it would be to have BBQ facilities on site. Otherwise 10/10!

Very spacious and good value apartment
Date of Stay: April 2010
Lovely spacious apartment in a good location - very close to Sorrento centre. The apartment was well equipped with good facilities including a great laundry/2nd bathroom which was really handy - especially when you have small children! Piero, the keyholder was very helpful and nothing was too much trouble when we needed something. The apartment was very clean, beautifully furnished, and had 2 balconies with a view over neighbours orange and lemon trees and the rest of sorrento. The apartment is about a 5-10 minute walk (down hill!) to centre of sorrento, the main train/bus station, and supermarkets, so its really very convenient. We loved our holiday in Sorrento - the food was superb. Highly recommend getting some pastries from "Monica" which is a little shop on the way back to the apartment...they were just amazing. We ate at La Fenice, La Franco (pizza - corso italia) and La Emilia (Marina Grande) and highly recommend all places for amazing food. We would come again.

The Villa Chez Pie is not only a beautiful home with gorgeous views of the Sorrentine coast, it also has the most attentive host - Piero. He stocked the villa with everything we needed, he arranged dinners for us at local restaurants and he scheduled excursions for us to Sorrento and Capri. He took the extra time and effort to ensure that EVERYTHING about our vacation was perfect. We will definitely visit again!

This villa was very nice, clean and comfortable. The owner met us at St. Agata and guided us to the villa. The only difficulty we had was that since we had a large 8 passenger vehicle. parking on the small pad was quite challenging. The view was dynamite and the accommodation very satisfactory - comfortable beds and sofas. I would stay there again.

Gorgeous view!
Date of Stay: 07/12/2011
The gorgeous view was only outdone by the wonderful assistance of Piero and his staff. When he heard we wanted to see Christmas decorations in Italy, he set up a tree in the Villa - lights and all. Now that's quality service!! The markets are a bit of a hike up hills so be prepared for that if you aren't renting a car. Driving is precarious so we opted to walk. If you would like to cook meals, bring spices as they were hard to find in the markets. The walk down to Crapolla was fabulous - exhausting but well worth the effort. The Villa definitely was our little dream home away from home!!

We stayed for 2 weeks, nice apartment, womderful views. The only thing that really desturbed us, was the fact, that the owners family arranged a big party on site. A lot of guests, a lot of noise and a lot of trouble. In the first week of our stay it was not possible to relax. Nobody told us beforehand what was happening and we were really desturbed.

Great stay in Sorrento
Date of Stay: 04/01/2011
This apartment is very spacious, bright, clean and comfortable. It is up the hill a bit, which takes you out of the busy tourist area, but very close to walk to everything you need, including several grocery stores, restaurants and the train station. Beds very comfortable and it was quiet at night.
A couple of things to be aware of, no toilet paper or soap was supplied, nor was a dish drying towel, we had to use a bath towel. Also the propane for the gas stove ran out, and there is no way of knowing when the tank is getting low. This was inconvenient in the middle of making dinner at 8 pm and no refill was possible until the next day.
Our host Pierro, was terrific, he picked us up from the train station, showed us around and was always accessible.
Overall, very good experience.

I stayed here with my wife and two other couples, and we had such an amazing time. If you want to get away from the busy tourist attractions and have a relaxing time, then this is the place to go. A car is handy as you can drive to tourist spots but not vital, as there is buses that take you to most places.
The apartments were really nice, and being able to cook your own food was a bonus (although being walking distance to great restaurants was handy!). The views from the top of the apartment are breath-taking, and was a great place to spend my 30th!

I have been here with my family and other friends. In total we have been 14 persons. The villa can accomodate in good condition 15 persons.
The villa is in a quite village, and has a wonderfull view to the sea and Ischia island. The sunsets are quite spectacular.
The rooms are elegant, confortable and clean, and there are a lot of public spaces and teraces with splendid views, where you can spent the time together with your family or friends. They also can arrange for a special dinner. We had the pleasure of a special dinner cooked by a local lady that showed us why Italian cuisine is so well known in all the world. The food was asociated with good wines found in villa colection. Very close to villa there are 2 food shops to buy fresh food for breakfast and decent restaurants for lunch and dinner.
We used only one of them, Francesco, the other one was not open yet, and we have been satisfied by the good food and quite reasonable prices.
The restaurant was mostly apreciated by our drivers, that could taste Italian wines at dinner, with no need to drive back home. From that place, if you have a car, and I recommend to come with small cars, because the roads are so large in this area, you can visit amalfi Coast, (Positano and Ravello being my favorites), you can go in the nearest town Sorrento, an very elegant town with a spectacular see side. I understood that there are some public transportation, but we didn't use it. From Sorrento you can go by sea in Capri, Ischia or Napoli.
To Napoli you can also use the train. Using the car can be painfull, because the roads are often crowded. For people interested in history, Pompei that is not so far can be an option for a special day.
Finally you meet nice, warm people, the owner and his friend Piero. We will not forget Giovana that cleaned up our mess, a nice lady that cooks excelent. I warmly recommend this place for good friends that can spent nice moments, and see a lot of unforgettable
places.

I would like to provide a testimonial for Alfredo at Villa Li Galli in Torca. We stayed for a week in July in the Alice apartment and can not rate the property and owner, Alfredo more highly. The standard of the apartment was very high. All furniture and equipment provided was of a very high standard. On arrival Alfredo spoke to us at length about the apartment and the area and made us feel very welcome - nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this Villa as a superb base for touring the Amalfi/Sorrento area. Not too busy in the village of Torca but you have the town of St Agatha just a kilometre away which has a more lively feel. 10 out of 10 for the Villa and for Alfredo and his family.

My husband and I spent 1 week at Le Capannelle on our honeymoon (I wish it had been longer!). It was wonderful and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean, with all mod cons, a wonderful setting and fanastic views. It was great - spacious, airy and light with 2 wonderful balconies so we got the sun all day on one or the other. The swimming pool and the decking area around it was wonderful to relax on/by. It was safe too, with automatic gates leading into the property. The town (more a large village) was only 5 mins walk away with all of the amenities you'd need/want (shops, pharmacist, restuarants (both excellent local homemade food and an amazing 2 star Michelin one), etc). Naples, Pompeii and the amalfi Coast road are all within very easy reach. Both my husband and I would highly recommend Le Capannelle for anyone (solo traveller, couple, family, group of friends) looking to spend time on the amalfi Coast, whether relaxing and / or exploring. A truly wonderful place that we hope to visit again one day.

Superb location with superb views on the sea, Capri and Vesuvio. Beautiful garden well maintained. Appartments are nice and cosy. Good service by the local gardener and cleaning lady. Good beds.
Fantastic BBQ facilities: try the bistecca fiorentina.
Super swimming pool
Some minor points but not crucial:
- some extra pool-chairs would be a plus
- some trouble with ants
- kitchens could use some modernisation and equipment
- small shower if your a bit bigger
- dishwashers are below quality (have no added value)
- a real oven in each appartment would be a plus
- terrace furniture (eating table and banks) and terrace-floor needs renewal
- Satellite TV offer below standard but who cares if you are living outside
If those minor issues could be solved, this would be a real 5-star location

Our stay at Le Capannelle was the most relaxing part of our three weeks in Italy. Piero, from Feeling Italy, assured us the experience of staying in San'Agata would meet with our wholehearted approval, and he didn't disappoint us. The bus ride into town (20 min.) is short, the views are spectacular, yet San'Agata is far enough from Sorrento to retain it's genuine Italian feel (no British style Pubs) Everyone at Feeling Italy made us feel very welcome and it was evident they sincerely wanted to do anything they could to make our stay the most enjoyable they could. The next time we visit Italy we will be contacting Piero and Feeling Italy for accommodations and for their suggestions regarding the surrounding area.

"A nice villa if you are looking for a peaceful holiday by the pool with occasional trips out and spectacular views. The (quite) nearby Sorrento and Amalfi coast are excellent, and the village of Sant'Agata is a nice place for a quiet evening stroll with some pretty good restaurants. The only real drawback is the need for a car coupled with the traumas of driving in this part of Italy (manic drivers, rubbish directions, narrow winding roads and nowhere to park) and of negotiating the extremely narrow road/dirt tracks between the village and the property. This made just getting to the village a slow and slightly traumatic exercise (praying nothing was coming the other way) and had we hired our usual people carrier I dont think we would have managed it. Be warned, these roads are made for brave people with small cars. But it was still a great holiday!" Value: Fair , Met expectations: Yes - satisfied , Recommend: Yes , Overall: Good

Absolutely Fantastic
Date of Stay: 08/01/2011
We stayed at one of the apartments with our 3 children aged 10,12 and 14. Check in was absolutely smooth, we hired a car (make sure it is a small one) at Naples airport, we had a GPS but even if you don't the instructions provided by the owners were easy to follow. We arrived on a Saturday night and were met in town by a smiling Chris who showed us the way to the apartment. We arrived to see the beautiful sunset, (just as you see in the photographs for the apartment). Chris helped us unload, showed us around the apartment and its gardens and pool (there are even laundry facilities). We then followed him back into town where he showed us a wonderful restaurant(www.ristorantelostuzzichino.it) with a great outdoor terrace.
The apartment is a fantastic base from which to explore. During our stay we drove to Sorrento (20 minutes) from where we took the boat to Capri. Pompeii, Amalfi and Positano are all within easy reach and if you want a beach, Marina del Cantone is only 30 minutes away.
The apartment was very clean and was even cleaned halfway through the week, the gardener/pool man was there every day. The only thing our apartment lacked was a comfortable sofa and a cheese grater, so in the scheme of things not much.
The highlight for all of us though was the wonderful pool, our children would have stayed in it every day if they could, the views over the sea to Capri, Naples and Vesuvius, were absolutely spectacular. We plan to return very soon.
